A short theory with zero proof.
Specifically, SJWs are responsible for most MTF and some FTM children. They've managed to quietly subvert nearly all of our primary school education curriculum with Marxist indoctrination. Little white boys are taught that they are going to grow up to be evil oppressor white males, the scourge of human progress. Little girls are oppressed, and we treat them better now to make up for it. But not to worry little boy, if you don't want to be an evil oppressor I have a way out!
There's this thing called being transsexual! That's right, just because you were born as a little boy doesn't mean that you have to grow up to be a white male. You can decide to go on hormone pills and grow boobs and be a slut for BBC (just ask us if you need condoms, we won't tell your parents), and then you're a permanent victim because of your identity as a strong independent woman with a penis, no matter what actions you take! Don't you see, little goy? You're gonna be a HERO, just start taking these pills!
FTM trans start as vanilla-oppressed people of childbirth that make up literally the majority of the population, and get to end up as special snowflake ultra-rare minorities near the top of the oppression totem pole. Definitely a bit of a social incentive for attention seekers.
Sure there are probably a tiny number of legitimately crazy kids who actually think they're the wrong gender, but the ones who become trans before they've even reached puberty are just doing it to get brownie points from their SJW teachers and communities. They don't even really know what sex is at that point. They shouldn't be brainwashing little kids with this shit.

Serious question: If a pill came out tomorrow that would fix the delusions, what percentage of trannies would be against it because of their "identity being taken away"?

The comments are a good read if you believe what you wrote. Lots of families with kids getting talked into it by counselors and therapists.

Very next week she is now a boy again. Just last week she told me that she is also gender fluid. So she can be a boy but also, for example, get acrylic nails.
tl;dr kids are fucking stupid and go through phases. Counselors and therapists tell them they're probably transgendered without proper assessment.
