Fun Fact: At one point the US didn't have missiles and had to test them.

NK is pretty much the only country left on the planet that isn't owned and controlled by the corporate and political elite because of how isolated they are and because they have no outside influence.
Unsurprisingly, said corporate and political elite spread propaganda and falsehoods about NK so people will have a reason to support war.
If America and friends won that war, something similar to Japan after WWII would happen, where the US installs a Western constitution, and then NK is just another country in Israel's pocket.

They're actually not. This isn't to defend them or anything, but what they've just been trying to create as good of a deterrence as they possibly can to stop intervention. Their economy is in shambles, and they've been facing another food crisis.
They've stated over and over and over again that these nukes are strictly to deter the US from invading. Worse than that, they've also stated that they'd be willing to negotiate its total closure if the US & SK stop practicing military drills.
