When did British music become so bad?

All mainstream music is shit. Its aimed at teenage girls.

Ever since we got electronic music, the rest got drained of talent.

there are many creative facets yet to be explored in terms of electronic music as a whole. we are, at this very moment, watching the swift beginning of the evolution of music due to technology. blaming technology because it is easy to mass produce or takes the (talent filled) human aspect is not a redpilled argument

I am also talking about the alternative/esoteric genres. I constantly research music and not much is happening worthwhile in the UK

Ed Sheeran is pretty much the modern equivalent of those guys and he's alright.

British have a whole hip-hop scene with 'stars' nobody over here has even heard of.

I was listening to an old Slade record from the 70's... it occurred to me what a massive output of bands came from Britain in the 60's, 70's, and even the 80's

It really was a fertile ground. It still is among the biggest producers, but they never quite found a niche in the hip hop era in the same way they did in the rock era.

I suppose club music was big there, but that's sort of more boutique.

I guess the world doesn't have a big need for English rappers...
