Fuck you shithead. I move pretty much every year and I love having a rifle in my house to defend myself. I have no idea what kind of neighborhood I'm going to be living in next year. I can't afford some fancy gated community or security guards, but I can scrap together 500 dollars for a basic AR build and set it up for home defense. It's the perfect home defense weapon. It comes with sights that already work well in low light conditions and that doesn't even scratch the surface of optics you can put on it. It's reliable, easy to use and gives you 30 rounds of fuck off to whoever might threaten you in your home. Not to mention with the right HD ammo it won't over-penetrate. Sure you can have a shotgun too but I prefer having 30 rounds semi auto to 4 rounds pump.

They're not committing crimes because most of the people who buy guns don't buy them to commit crimes. There's no correlation between gun ownership and crime rate state by state. If everybody is armed, it makes it more dangerous to attack somebody, because chances are they're armed too.
