But in 2017 the kekistan memespace has been taken over by Sargon of Akkad (anti-racist and socialist) and Mike Cernovich (who claims the alt-right is a false flag meant to confound the truth that the Democrats are the real racists)

b) Pirate (representing digital and IP freedom; internet anarchy; freedom of anonymous speech)

c) Templar (for Catholic chauvinists, Orthodox chauvinists, and Christchan posters)
This would be the flag of choice for a disciple of Common Filth, but has nothing to do with white identity

There are three main reasons why an alt-right user can't comfortably use these flags:
1) The alt-right for the most part is a pan-European movement that opposes brother wars between whites. Flags (a), (b), and (c) are emblamatic of historical white brother wars that we would like to overcome. For that reason those flags are outdated.
2) Almost all the users of flags (c) and (d) deny the holocaust, but holocaust denial is merely optional for someone in the alt-right.
3) (a) and (d) are white supremacist which implies the exploitation and/or enslavement of nonwhites. Alt-right users are separatist, not supremacist, meaning we want to be as far away from nonwhites as possible, too far away to rule them. The two positions are mutually exclusive.

Finally I will explain the significance of the flag in the OP. The white and black bars symbolize our insistence on white separatism as an end goal. The face of mercury is symbolic of the guiding spirit of Western Civilization. The fasces in the center symbolizes white brotherhood and the inspiration we draw from previous white assertiveness movements of the 20th century. The AR of course stands for Alt-Right.

The generic Alt-Right flag of the OP has been displayed prominently at the recent alt-right rallies in Charlottesville, Virginia (13 May 2017) and Washington DC (25 June 2017).

Firstly, we need to consider that there are three main groups of alt-right members:

1. Fascist/Nazi - Socialists who see purges as the best solution to multiculturalism
2. Libertarian/Ancap - Capitalists who see market/property exclusion as the best solution to multiculturalism
3. White Nationalists - Political moderates who care more about racial issues than economic issues

Knowing this, the main issue facing the unity of the "Alt-Right" is getting Nazis and Ancaps to get along. In every past attempt to unify /pol/, it's ended in Nazis calling Ancaps jews and Ancaps calling Nazis commies. As such, the official flag should reflect a synthesis of Fascism and Libertarianism. Perhaps something like pic related would work.

/polsters/ should fly the flags of their people's. Be it their nations flag, state flag, County flag/emblem, family crest or historical flag of their ancestry. I personally couldn't fly any other flag than the Flag Of the Finnish Republic, even though I was born on Åland my family wasn't from there and I don't identify as åländning.

An American of German heritage should fly the stars and stripes, alternatively the confederate flag if you oppose the current government. You might fly a state flag if you support the current state government and perhaps a heritage flag if you strongly identify as European.

Political flags are poison and an easy target for your opponent. It sets you apart from the average population and makes it harder to identify with your cause since it means adopting a flag which sets you apart from people.
