I haven't looked into the issue in-depth, but what I have gathered is that in the past, people were quite secure in their cultural and racial homogeneity and that a jewish section of some city or other wasn't something of concern to them. As has been posted here many times before, they provided kings with the opportunity to leverage the power of loans to accomplish their goals, a service that Christians couldn't provide professionally due to the illegality of usury. It is of note, however, that law kept Jews away from getting licensed to run a printing press (they got gentiles to help them) for some time.

Perhaps they didn't see a problem with them (even hitler said that a tiny amount of mixture isn't something to be concerned about, as it is quickly obliterated by the genetics of the majority) or thought it infeasible to remove them. Additionally, many times jews were purged in circumstances that were rather convenient for debt-laden crowns.

It is important to note, however, that the common people and the nobility often deeply distrusted jews and (((made up))) accusations against them (sometimes they probably were made up, others, who knows?) in order to initiate mini-purges and persecutions. Even in today's cucked populace, the primal racism inherent in people causes many (some rather mild, some more intense) forms of friction and/or white flight.

You blame Communism on free speech yet fail to realize the only reason we are able to stand here today is because of free speech. Think back on history and imagine all of the at the time unpopular ideas that were beneficial could have been suppressed. Without free speech, all of those ideas would have died. There is nothing stopping you from controlling the education system, media, etc and making that the official narrative if you wish to discourage certain behavior. There is nothing stopping you from openly arguing against lies, and working to discredit ideologies that you think are harmful. Outright banning of ideologies does nothing to address the root of the problem, why it is people are attracted to the idea. If you can't have an open discussion about a particular idea, you can't discredit it, and people will flock to it. If you wanted to stop communists you should allow them to speak freely and openly and completely dismantle their arguments in the face of the public so people know not to take the ideology seriously. Allowing for the ban of certain speech allows justification for the ban of any other speech. Let us say your Fuhrer fucks up and does something catastrophic. He's getting criticized in public for this, and there's no easy solution. Couldn't he very well justify "silencing" those who criticized him to "maintain stability" so to speak. In such a state I would not last. You would find some reason to arrest and execute me, probably for a valid criticism. We have communists now and you can hate on communists all you want. Free speech has not stopped them, if anything it's let grow because they can tell half truths and get people on their side. You assume people are educated enough to go search out multiple views. What happens is people watch one tv station and only one. They soak up this TV's viewpoints and refuse to watch anything else. Free speech does not default to a liberal democracy. A commune of communists or a small group of people on a street corner can easily turn people communist.
