Why does the unification of the Netherlands take so long? the situation has barely changed since 1580. We only got Limbourg. We donĀ“t even have a real capital, Our government is still in a castle which was meant to be temporary solution, but has lasted for 400 years already. Who would have thought this would take so long in 1384? When will the next big step towards unification be taken?
we actually had been unified in 1830, and the Benelux is growing ever stronger together.
it won't take too long now with the increasing Flemish nationalism, the increasing bonds in the Benelux and the weakening EU.
Should have helped Germany in WW1. Dutch forces could have made the difference in the Western Front in the early part of the war and then you would have got Flanders as a reward :)

Under EU it'll never happen
Also we need to drop Christianity and Catholicism, these promote globalism and will destroy our people
the fucking walloons split off and took flanders with them whether they liked it or not, all because "we have a kike pope and u dont hurr"
flanders is all for splitting up belgium, but democracy is bureaucracy and therefore it will never happen.

Flemish nationalism will just cause more rattichism, which is just as artificial. On /pol/ there may be said a lot about Walloons. But in regard to their poverty and agricultural economy I understand why still a lot of them vote socialist. However, I think most of them don't really have a lot of common with France. We shouldn't give France a reason to annex even more of our beloved homeland. The original Flanders was bilingual and divided under two crowns, but managed to be one of the richest regions in the world. First we have to accept that our homeland will always be the crossroad of different languages and cultures and then we have to deal with it.
Our former Coat of Arms can be found throughout the Low Countries. How can a people so proud about their past and their future still manage to be so divided in the present?

But are the flemish people basing their nationality on being dutch or being flemish?
>>132278653
Mostly just being not in a the same country as the walloons desu, they fucking hate the walloons and would support a great dutch state
>>132278939
I didn't notice the hate when I was on both sides today. I think Walloons have accepted the fate that they need the Flemish and Flemish are willing to take the responsibility. I'm partly Flemish and Walloon myself, but I don't really think Flemings see Walloons as foreigners. They have a shared history after all.

We regard ourselves as Flemish.
Yet I must say, I do support a Great Dutch State. As long as we get rid of those fucking walloons.
Seriously netherlands, you don't want them. Let them have Brussels and Liege. As long as we're rid of them.

it's a silent majority, flemish nationalism is slowly rising.
