In American, it seems that the majority of health care costs are overwhelmingly due to unhealthy obese poors and old people.

Would providing tax reductions/benefits for citizens who go to the gym, live healthy lifestyles work? With the technology today (health/gym apps), one would think it could work.

It would provide motivation to workout and lead a healthy life, and cold help with the obesity epidemic, thus reducing health care costs...one would think.

I ask 2 questions:
Would some sort of system like this work?
Why wouldnt a system like this work?
