The legitimate government-approved archive has historically been archive.org not archive.is. They do the same thing but .is is owned by a czech guy from prague.

The .is is a private psyop operation to gather intel on all pol users. Remember those "studies" they did at Yale on pol users? This is how they gather the data.

You think you're not giving them ad-revenue but you can use adblock and block ads out.

Big editors don't change their articles so you're not "catching them in the act" by archiving.

The archive site can get you on a facebook pixel (little code in the html header) and sell that pixel with all the data to advertisers who then want to sell to 4chan users. Facebook doesn't know who is a 4chan user but if you click that archive site that means you engage with it and they can push sponsored content to you on facebook like that. So it looks like they're not making a profit when they let you read an article but they'll make a profit on you later.

The key here is to use this to out advantage.

Someone create a site that automatically creates screenshot backups of articles and lets you distribute them.

Then once we use it for that purpose for a long time and people generally consider it to be just 'the evil alt right circumventing our corrections', then we can start editing the archives to make them look worse than they actually ever were.

This will force them to unblock 'legitimate' archive sites again, and we can go back to just having 'verified archives'
