I would say for every Islamist friend I have, I have two anti Islamist. But this is because I choose them carefully. I can't imagine people only live amongst Islamists. It must be hard.

I think orthodoxy would be more prevalent to Turks since they live in a land more prevalent to orthodox church.

There are still some orthodox churches in Turkey and even have Grand Patriarch in Constantinople.
I think Turks would be more closer to europeans if they in history converted to christianity and abandoned Islam.
