The best all-around english translation is the New International Version. But I also like the The Complete Gospels for the New Testament.

But my Greek Orthodox friends say, "translation? Who needs a translation"?

The New American Bible is also good, but some of the footnotes I object to. But at least it has all the books in it.

KJV is the most accurate in english. Why do you think everyone memes it? If you want more accurate learn greek.
