White Workers Only at Essence Festival

As some of you may or may not know the annual Essence Festival which celebrates powerful blacks in show business is going on currently in New Orleans. As much as I myself don't mind that the blacks want to have their own Festival to celebrate their culture I do find one fact rather disturbing. The seating ushers and a majority of other lowly positions are forcibly held by whites. To me this seems rather racist seeing as a race of people are singled out to serve another race. What would the mainstream media make of a white pride celebration being held where all the workers are blacks? Opinions and thoughts would be appreciated.
