I've only seen a couple episodes myself. I'm with you i didn't find it as edgy as id hoped but it was the only conservative sitcom on tv until KIKEBC cancelled it because Tim said modern day Hollywood was like 1930s pre war Germany.

Home Improvement is good for me because as a father it shows everything I want my kids to see as normal. Strong male rolemodel, loving feminine mother and boys being boys. Recommend giving it a watch, but you might get a little sad because it reminds you of a time before degeneracy was mainstream and encouraged.

One thing I disliked about the last few seasons was how they ended on an angry note. The first 5-6 seasons Al and Peggy always ended up loving each other at the end of every episode. It was interesting how it showed how you can form a bond and relationship that transcends your every day annoyances.
It was just stupid fun, though. My favorite episode was the one where he built his own bathroom.

Anyone who was old enough in the mid-late 1980s enjoyed the true golden age of television. There was so much outstanding programming on every single night of the week that it was literally impossible to watch all of it - or even most of it. VCRs were on fire every night time shifting as people were desperate to take in the mother lode of quality writing, top tier acting and generally outstanding entertainment. It was an embarrassment of riches.

And this was just three television networks. Now all we have is a 300 channel wasteland. The cultural collapse is shocking and unprecedented.

One of the things that have stood out to me the most about older TV shows is that there's... actually nothing wrong with them.

I'll take the transgender issue for a moment. Modern day feminsits/tumblrflakes/SJWs talk about how there aren't any transgenders, or "manly girls" or "sissy boys" on television.

But have these people even for any moment actually watched any of these old shows? If you watch any show from beginning to end, eventually you will see one or two episodes where you see these characters that Tumblr so desperately wants to see. And do you know how the main characters act when they see these unique characters? They treat them like they are completely normal, like they are everyday regular people. Is that not what they want? They completely fail to recognize that they are such a small minority that it doesn't make much sense to constantly bring the subject up in every single episode of every single show on television.

Nowadays TV shows are just so heavily catered to these people that it just becomes so hard to watch. It really feels like asian television is all we have left - animes and even the kdramas I've watched feel like they're completely redpilled. They straight up have characters saying "you're being depressed right now, go home and recollect yourself and come talk to us tomorrow when your mind is more clear". Can you imagine the tantrum these pansies would throw if that happened on an episode of the simpsons?
