A "fat tax" would have to be a case by case basis. Maybe make it so part of a routine check-up is the doctor turning in those that are considered to be unreasonably overweight/obese (I don't think someone 10 lbs overweight or something should be punished that doesn't really matter).

I'm a smoker - I started because of depression....does that means that I should get the best health care and everyone be sympathetic towards me - NO. I do what I do because I enjoy it.
