Opinions on high speed rail in this thread.

Should we do it in the US? Nigger delivery system or leftist money pit? Eurobrowns weigh in on your diversity missiles
>>
Every single mall in the US that gets a bus stop put near it becomes a rotting dilapidated corpse. Think about this.

>Nigger delivery system or leftist money pit

Both. Besides, unless they can make absurdly less expensive than air travel, nobody gives a shit.

>Should we do it in the US?
Just to let you know, dear burger, over here in Europe we're thinking about ripping out those faggit rails, and put some nice roads in place there, for the future of automoneous fleets of tiny electric cars.
>>
>>132148925
smart of you to do so in my opinion.
>>
>>132148861
>less expensive than air travel,
Trains and their silly networks/insane infrastructure are heavily subsidized.

>>132148992
Well, for now the trains still roll, and will do so for the next decade, maybe two, so that's all future music for now. But people are thinking about it. Trains don't look too good in comparison. The game changer is not only the AI, it's also the electric jew motor by which oecologic arguments became (mostly) obsolete (yeah, yeah, batteries are still a problem...).

>Trains and their silly networks/insane infrastructure are heavily subsidized.
True, and that's my point. If it takes 3x as long to get somewhere, but costs the same, why would that be an appealing option for travel? Nobody even does the "land cruise to see the sights" thing in favor of driving.
>>
the deep state wont allow it. they sabotaged it once and they will do it again.

burgers cant have cheap universal healthcare, tesla tech, cancer cures and a stable prosperous society...

>In the early 1900s, General Motors' long-time president, Alfred P. Sloan, Jr., began implementing a plan to expand auto sales and maximize profits by eliminating streetcars.
>In 1922, Sloan established a special unit within GM that was charged with, among other things, the task of replacing the United States' electric railways with cars, trucks, and buses. Consumers who no longer had the option of taking the streetcar turned first to the bus lines and, eventually, to owning and driving their own automobiles.

no public transport because car companies bribed government officials in the 40s and 50s to plan cities without public transport oriented towards cars ie us suburbia

public transport was sabotaged to steer the flock towards car/oil

with social engineering and propoganda campaigns, GM successfully wasted billions of public tax dollars.
wasted billions of public $$ to fund their monopoly.

Railways were a huge part of the 19th century USA and at that time our railway corporations were not only profitable, but were among the best in the world.

Then the early 20th came along, some ruthless guy named Rockefeller started a company called Standard Oil...and everything went to shit.

Its actually amazing how much one man cucked the USA, and in some ways the entire world. He's not Rothschild tier, but he's pretty close.

Anyway, the USA doesn't want to use less oil, because guys like Rockefeller wanted to use the most oil possible. He not only helped kill/restrain our railways, but he also battled Henry Ford over making sure automobiles ran on oil instead of corn grain alcohol (which would have made more sense in every way)

All this shit we have now. The Global oil market, Saudi Arabia controlling the petrol dollar, etc etc. It can all be traced back to Standard Oil (Rockefeller)

Well, flying/the airplane, certainly isn't really an alternative. At least not if this scam would be cost-transparent. But sure, Americans need to travel other distances, than us Europeans.

>>132150049
>If it takes 3x as long to get somewhere,
So this really only applies to long-distance in Burgerland. Over here, the distances we travel daily by train? Chances are you're faster with the train, than with your stupid car. But this highly depends on where you actually need to go (and if a train station is somewhere near...). Again, that's really a different situation over here, than in burgerland.
>>
>>132148689
Of course you should. Infrastructure is an important part of creating a more advanced society. Obviously don't overdo it but even if you had one linking LA to San Diego for example it would be good for the country. Although I guess you have a lot of niggers and spics who would try to destroy the train line
>>
>>132148689
>tfw mountainous land

We will never have god tier rail...
>>
America is too big for rail when its quicker to fly than to go on a rail

Would only work in very close metropolitan areas such as DC>Philadelphia>NYC>Boston or SF to LA

Maybe even San Antonio>Austin>Dallas
>>
>>132150509
Yes, this is true. But that's for local traffic, not long-distance travel (where airplanes come in play).

>>132150574
>but were among the best in the world.
Pink glasses much? Okay, in part this may be true. But with pretty much everything in burgerland, the public didn't have any of the excellent service the business sector/clients could profit from. And it was a fucking mess from the getgo with many redundant lines (to defeat competition), while many other places were left unconnected/unserved. The same with telegraphy too. Businesses had the best connections, while the public service was fucking terrible.

Compare the early railroad/telegraph business of burgerland to europe, it's like day and night (always excused by american geography, but that's only a sall factor in the grande scheme of things; which do scale afterall).

Trains are dope as hell but they're kinda useless now, especially with how convoluted and dilapidated our current railway system is. With the money it would cost to build a high speed, efficient train system we could just improve our highways which would be beneficial to everyone rather than just trains.
