It did, read up on the testimony of firefighters at the scene. The testimony of Captain Chris Boyle is particularly detailed about the structural and fire damage to WTC7 (he describes smoke coming out of dozens of floors and a 20-story long, deep structural gash on the South face, both of which are supported by testimony from other fire crews and emergency personnel at the scene). Conspiracy theorists just choose to only post pictures of the undamaged side that was facing away from the towers because it fits their whole "omg it just collapsed for no raisin" version of events.

99% of a buildings structural support is designed to support the dry load - the static weight of the building. When parts of the structure fail, when parts of the structure are dynamic) there's not a whole lot you can do to support it. It takes more force, more work, to stop something moving than to hold something up. It's the difference between holding a bowling ball and catching one.

2) None of the buildings collapsed at free falls speed, the NIST reports on the collapse of all three towers are declassified and freely available to the public. Analysis of the collapse of the three towers showed that while the acceleration as a function of time ***approached*** freefall as the collapsing masses gained momentum, the average acceleration for all three towers was around half to two-thirds of freefall.

I think his main problem is that his youtube is a fucking mess, there's just random videos and then many interviews are just audio, so it's much harder to get into than for example Molyneux or whatever. It is a distant fantasy, but I think it would be amazing to try and recreate 9/11 if you were unimaginably rich. Just finding some foreign country that would permit you to do it, build the structures up and slam two remote 767s into them.

Its still a daunting task even before you get to the money part, so a simulation gets this kind of stuff done easier. And the blue prints to the buildings, to what material they used, I don't know.
