>Turkey-Russia S-400 Missile System Deal Has Been Finalized

Russian presidential assistant for military and technical cooperation, Vladimir Kozhin, announced on June 29 that the S-400 long-range air defense system deal with Turkey has been finalized.

He stressed that Russia sees no obstacles to the delivery of the missile defense system to Turkey, even as a NATO member.

Turkey wants to buy the expensive advanced system through a loan from the Russian government, but Russia has not agreed to grant Turkey such loan so far.

>Kozhin said that the technical aspect of the agreement has been completed, but that there are many other aspects have not been agreed upon yet, including the financial side, and the political side.

The S-400 is a high altitude long-range air defense system that uses 40N6 missiles with an active radar guidance and a range of up to 400 km. The system includes 91N6E radar with detection range up to 570 km. It can detect the Fifth generation warplanes from a distance up to 150 km, according to Russian sources.

However, it’s not clear if Turkey will get the latest S-400 40N6 missile, or if it will get a reduced version according to some expectations.

I asked my friend why Assad being replaced by the rebels is a good thing and he just says "because Assad is a dictator!".
And when I tell him about the terrorism by the rebels he just thinks that's better than living under a "dictator". So a democracy is better than any government even if it's a democracy of terrorism and barbarism?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=El1JRzA2D5A
So it's rather old, over 2 weeks. I don't know why the PKK waits so long to publish its videos. Maybe, because they are such a rigid organization, they will have to get the ok for every video from the leadership first and have to take it to the Qandil mountains via USB-stick...but that's just my wild speculation.

I've never found a single Irish person who ever had anything of any value to say about politics or current events. The government says it didn't provide anything:

>The fact-finding mission of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), tasked with investigation of the alleged use of chemical weapons in the Syrian town of Khan Sheikhoun on April 4, rejected the Syrian government’s assistance in unearthing the facts at the site of the incident and instead relied on highly questionable testimonies provided by rebels and terrorists, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

It kinda doesn't technically say that, just that the OPCW didn't go to KhSh. It did rely on highly questionable testimony, but the statement from the govt doesn't say they *only* relied on such statements. It doesn't outright deny that Assad officials sent evidence to be analysed, it really doesn't touch on it. Assad can try to hide facts with misleading statements too.

You should read mershs report on the incident

https://www.welt.de/politik/ausland/article165905578/Trump-s-Red-Line.html

If the quotes and statements he uses are legitimate it basically says that the victims of the incident came from a series of secondary explosions after the SyAF dropped a guided bomb on a "rebel" leadership meeting, destroying a 2 story building which had a stockpile of weapons.

>The basement was used as storage for rockets, weapons and ammunition, as well as products that could be distributed for free to the community, among them medicines and chlorine-based decontaminants for cleansing the bodies of the dead before burial.

Yes, exactly. Ireland has lived in near total peace for close to 100 years now, apart from a handful of nationalist and loyalist attacks.
People seem to assume the world is would be a wonderful place if we just open our arms to migrants, other cultures and homo/tranny shit.

Yeah like it's the future and everything will go smoothly if you follow the plan and tighten your belt when your creditors/masters want you to.

There's something else I noticed while I lived there, when you hear that someone got stabbed or shot in Ireland it's generally Irish-on-Irish crime, the gangs are Irish, if you have a shop and anyone's gonna extort protection money out of you it's gonna be an Irish guy, if you get shot because someone thought you were a gangland rival it will be an Irish guy, so people can't even blame migrants for crime, unlike in other countries where you wonder if white people even commit crimes anymore.

3:00pm - US envoy to Kuwait urges 'fair' solution to Gulf crisis

The US ambassador to Kuwait has called for a "fair" solution to the Gulf dispute.

In a statement on Sunday, Lawrence R. Silverman reiterated the US support for Kuwaiti efforts to mediate a solution to the crisis.

That's latest developments from source I posted there, if anything it supports the notion that US isn't going to take sides in this dispute at the least. No knowing what the Camel Shoah man Mohammad bin Salman will do.

Around 20,000 members of opposition Free Syrian Army (FSA), composed mostly of Islamic fundamentalist groups, and Turkish troops will participate in a new military operation in the northwestern Syrian Afrin region, which is under control of the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), Turkish media reported on Sunday.

The first targets of the operation will be the town of Tall Rifat and the Minaq airbase, the Sabah newspaper reported citing its sources. The offensive will be launched from the towns of A’zaz, Kaljibrin and Marea eastward and from Idlib westward.

Ankara is reportedly holding consultations with Moscow on the new operation. Later on Sunday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Afrin is located in the province of Aleppo and belongs to the de facto autonomous region of Rojava in the north of Syria. Turkey considers the Syrian Kurdish associations to be a wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

I think either al-Thani dies fast or Qatar wins. Proxy wars tend to freeze up- as soon as they look like they're going one way one of the super powers step in. A win for SA would be regime change, not annexation (because that's not realistic, causes too much of a stir).

But I'm guessing al-Thani will run away to Iran after which the KSA can say he abandoned his people and then.. I really don't know man. that's what I think will happen and I don't know how that ends.

>"because Assad is a dictator!".
is simply not an argument. it is a philosophically bankrupt statement. it is almost a bait and switch.
your friend is attempting to divert from an argument about actual standards that are of importance.

you have to introduce standards around which the conversation can take place, e.g. international law, democracy, the fact that the question of assad is a question that is solely for the syrian people. this will focus your conversation and de-fang his perjorative attacks.

you should start by pointing out that personalised attacks are not an argument. for example the vast majority of people in libya has a future under gaddafi. now the dictator is gone and the country is a ruin. and the people have a reduced future.

if your friend defends this as a viable 'ok' outcome, then he is a single issue ideologue with nothing to say. get better friends then.

The Jebel Dukhan area also contains Qatar's main onshore oil deposits, while the natural gas fields lie offshore, to the northwest of the peninsula.

A war in Qatar may not be like the others in the region. It would be pretty short and decisive as far as Qatar itself is concerned. Qatar is a microstate and half its population are migrant workers. The terrain is flat and there are no major barriers against invasion. Once the Emir and his family are captured, killed, or forced to flee, there won't be any organized resistance left.

Unless of course, a greater power sponsors Qatar, like Turkey or Iran. But in that case, it would be less like a GCC-Qatar war and more like a GCC-Iran war started because of Qatar. Calling it a Saudi-Qatar war could be like calling World War I the Austrian-Serbian war.

If it does become a greater war, then the possibility arises that Saudi Arabia could become destabilized and internal problems could break out. If Mohammed bin Salman's grip on power isn't completely airtight at this point, a major war (while also fighting in Yemen, fighting potential insurgency, and defending himself against court factions) could be fatal for him. The death or deposing of MbS as heir could completely destabilize Arabia or throw it into civil war, especially if the theory about Salman being senile or near death holds water. That's a succession crisis, and that would mean Arabia spiraling into a long, drawn-out civil war, which we're all familiar with.

Yes, that's a good observation, I didn't even think of that. Funnily enough, that would be a positive thing for both parties involved in the war, as well as their potential sponsors in Russia and the US. Higher oil prices might also stabilize Venezuela for a little while longer. I'm not sure how it would influence Nigeria which is also a major oil exporter struggling with terrorism and internal conflicts.

1. If we give it up, than the border will sit on the northern part Sea of Galilee- Israel's main drinkable water source. Syria already made attempts to sway it away before we took it.
2. The heights are a geographic shield for northern and central Israel from Syrian tanks just lining up direct shots unto any target they want (tanks as simple example).
3. We already built quite a lot there. A shame to start forcibly evacuating citizens that lived and worked that land for ~50 years.

lmao

>implying there aren't cities in lebanon that have a lot of isis supporters
>implying the isis flag isn't displayed in some cities
check for yourself
>>
>>132120057
I think it would be too much to ask. Supply route needs to constantly be open and the dangers of shelling is too high.
>>
>>132120359
I don't care about anything except what affects me, I don't see why you'd assume I would

Do it. To be honest I'd rather work with an NGO in Syria than in Turkey, but like the swedish guy said, you will learn a lot.
Also don't forget to keep us posted when you're there!
>>
>>132120423
if they didn't like it they wouldn't be in the Zone in the first place
hell, most people have to sneak past a machine gun nest just to get in, you think they wouldn't know what they're signing up for?
>>
>>132120517
she lives in Lebanon genius, just like you live in France. I think she knows about it better than you do.
>>
>>132120542
>implying you can't reverse this argument for refugees
are you even trying bro ?
why don't you welcome refugees then
>>
>>132120605
go check it you'll be surprised
>>
>>132120673
why do I care about the reverse? I'm white, I don't give a damn how shitskins are welcomed, I only care about how whites are treated.
>>
>>132120517
>implying the isis flag isn't displayed in some cities
you'll find more isis flags in belgium than in lebanon.
like one palestinian refugee camp in saida and one neighborhood in tripoli. and theyre not even isis.
>>
>>132120773
check it? I've been to Lebanon twice, I've checked it
>>
>>132120803
it's not about you it's about pro refugee rethoric
>>
>>132120859
my friend is a lebanese foreign student so i'll take his word over someone who went there only two times
>>
>>132120806
I have friends from 3ein el 7elwe and they have jihadi groups there but it's not ISIS, it's more like Fatah el Islam or whatever

I've seen some folks in Tripoli with Osama bin Laden posters (in a documentary though)

>>132120914
I don't care m8, arrête d'être autiste putain

i wont stray into the stereotypical levantine bbc hunter with daddy issues. u need not to worry.
>>
>>132121009
so you're not going to counter my argument ?
ok then
refugees welcome
>>
>>132121025
maybe there's just less ISIS support in Lebanon than you'd think. ISIS support in Belgium isn't exactly zero.
>>
>>132121099
we started arguing about how whites like me are welcome when they visit Lebanon, you autistically arguing about something no one cares about is your problem
>>
>>132121185
>we started arguing about how whites like me are welcome when they visit Lebanon
and i showed you wrong
but stick to your anecdote i'll stick to my facts
>>
>>132121009
yes. none of them are isis.
>>
>>132121313
>i showed you wrong
lel, no? Arguing about identitarians in Poland doesn't change anything about how I was actually received in Lebanon
>>
>>132121338
thank god it's not like not only isis can into terror
>>
>>132121416
you were well received but not everyone will do the same that was my point
>>
>>132121025
>wtf i love exaggerated /pol/ memes now
isis polls at less than 1% popularity in lebanon. compared to 2% in germany and 7% in UK for example.
http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/11/17/in-nations-with-significant-muslim-populations-much-disdain-for-isis/
>>
>>132121547
yeah, but Lebanon is well segmented, so you don't go in areas where people tell you you shouldn't go, that's how you have a good time there.
>>
>>132121671
thats because in europe isis has the monopoly while in lebanon it's split up between different groups
>>
>>132121497
>thank god it's not like not only isis can into terror
tfw the streets of beirut are safer than the streets of london
>>
>>132118424

Damascus doesn't have to, the Jews have the heights. Come and take it from them.

But Assad won't and we all know it. Whatever happens in Syria, Golan will stay directly under the control of the Jew and it always will. If you're not used to it by now you should be.
>>
>>132121969
>tfw in 20 years people will have a pleasant time visiting Damascus while Paris and London will be reputed for being Detroit-tier
I'm fine with that actually
>>
>>132121697
>you don't go in areas where people tell you you shouldn't go, that's how you have a good time there
euros and americans cant deny that it is like this in their countries too.

>>

even without recent terror wave. always been some bad neighborhoods to avoid because of crime. neighborhoods u as a tourist have no reason to wanna visit anyway.
>>
>>132122550
yep, even in the 1990s it was like this. My parents moved out of Paris in like 1980 because even then it was getting bad enough.
