Did you listen to the recent Joe Rogan podcast where some man (an MMA fighter, I don't follow sports so I haven't a clue who he is). What he said is very true. Just sit your 16yo cousin down and say repeat these lines to him.

Let's say you borrow money from the bank and you don't want to pay it back. What will happen?

The bank will send letters asking you to pay it back.

What if you send a letter back and simply say 'no'.

They will contact debt collectors.

The debt collectors come and you tell them politely that you aren't going to pay them back.

The law gets involved.

The law come and you say, you're not going to pay anyone back. The law will issue a warrant for your arrest.

The police come to arrest you, you say 'I refuse to be arrested'.

It will end in violence. The Police will violently arrest you.

Everything, no matter how petty or small at it's root is violence. We create laws to stop things disintegrating into their root, which is violence.
