Okay, so my command just made us sit through some mandated training on options available to members who want to undergo sexual reassignment, and it got me thinking:
During this last cycle of conflict (Iraq, Afghanistan, OP Enduring Freedom, the Isis Offensives), the subject of suicide in the military has leapt to the forefront of defense-based discourse. All of the service heads (Generals, an Admiral, and two Commandants) have made commitments to stem the number of suicides in their respective branches. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the wars we've been fighting (asymmetric, unpopular, at times morally ambiguous), I don't see any significant strides being made in that arena.
Now, given that, why have they been pushing so hard to allow for transgendered individuals to serve? As of this writing, Transgendered individuals attempt suicide at a rate of 30%, vs. 4% for the general population. This is a segment of the population that is incredibly vulnerable, mentally and emotionally, and sending them off to fight in these shades-of-gray conflicts isn't doing them any favors. Even Manic Depression doesn't boast a rate that high (15% being the most common stat given).
Suicide in the service is a huge morale killer. It leaves your shipmates and squadmates asking "What went wrong? Why did they do this to us? Why didn't I see it coming?". This turns into blaming themselves and the command for not catching it before it happened, and leaves alot of people hurting when what they do is already hard enough. Maybe, just maybe, equality isn't worth it this time?

The reason that trannies are pushing for inclusion in military service is so that they can have another tap to easily acquired employment with good benefits and a good pension/retirement. You know very well that any trannies who get into the military will not be involved in anything marginally dangerous. They will be useless on the front lines. So they'll essentially be given no show diversity jobs that they can't lose lest they sue for muh discrimination. In the end, they get social position, a "career", authority over others, and a lifetime of gibs. That is what they are after. That is what this is about.

Honestly the tranny part doesnt bother me it the suicide. If we can prevent the suicides i see no problem as long as their "parts" align with what they identify as
