Would be preferable if the cost of living weren't so high in the west. Having my own business opens up cash flow for further operations...my job at this point is to reverse damage done by (((social activists))) who made it impossile to have a single bread winner in the family and raise kids in an area not infested by losers, or take the gov't dole.

Connecting with people can be a bother. I know. It's easy for me, but I have to do it for work, so when I have free time, I don't want to try to make connections to people that are going to suck.

What helps me feel less lonely is MMA. I do it 3-5 times a week depending on my work schedule, and it's a great outlet and great bonding. All my best friends are dudes I've met at the gym and train with on a regular basis. And the thing is, when you're doing that, you don't even have to try to connect -- it just happens. Then you become close friends after a few months of training and start getting dinner together.

Without it, I'd have gone nuts long ago.

It's almost the opposite for me with my work, I quite often have to deal with people from a distance or half the time when I do interact with them directly it can be quite hostile.
Something else about my work, due to what it is and the nature of it it's almost impossible for me to make friends or find women through it.
For connections with guys and friends, I have a small group of friends that I see fairly often and are pretty close with.
I have never had any particular interest in MMA, I'd much rather spend a day out at the range or be inside with a group of friends doing something nerdy as fuck.
