I'm inclined to believe that George Soros is really committed to his ideals (yes, he has them, too), so he isn't playing along with a movement for the ride and the wealth, but also ideological motivations. It seems that Soros really dislikes, or even hates Israel and fellow Jews in private, though. After having publicly expressed his disliking of the tribalism and the state of Israel, it appears that he doesn't like them, or feel attached, at least. It's important to understand this aspect of Soros, because Soros does not equal Israel's involvement in his affairs.
