Also, sources indicate that the Horde indeed had the plague with them, but the city of Kadda was already infected with it.

Regardless of their hand in the spread of the black plague, jews are responsible for some horrible atrocities in this very day and age so why not focus on that instead?

Marseille's plague outbreak happened because the rich merchant forced the notables of the city to allow the boat in the city before the usual quarantine duration. The alderman of the city had very strong connections with jewish merchants (although not a jew himself) and owned a part of the shipment.
Thus the plague broke into Marseille.
