big words but little action

Getting every indian to pay taxes is impossible. Remember how politicians work - they do something small that works but makes very little difference, and then spend the rest of their time spouting about how they will do bigger things that they never do.

read a more indepth article about it yesterday and it will be a massive clusterfuck because the law isn't worked out in detail. they have tons of different sales taxes for different products/services and it is not clear which one applies to what.
they also require store owners to file their taxes multiple times per month over an online form, when a fuckton of small store owners don't even have access to a PC or know how to use it.

I mean, they NEED to change something because their current system sucks ass. but this attempt isn't going to be much better, at least not short term

They gotta go through China first
