Look at Slavdom - similar ethnic background, even a similar language. Yet Slavdom is strongly divided. Russians and Poles according to ethnonationalism should be one nation
Another case is the USA - it was created by calvinist Anglosaxons who worshipped finance and money, but it took large amounts of lutheran Germans who thought of usury as a sin. And the Germans lost their culture and were assimilated into calvinism
