Reminder that next to no one in the U.S. wants single-payer health care. It's so toxic and unpopular that even Colorado, which voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 and for Hillary Clinton in 2016, overwhelmingly rejected it at the ballot box on November 8, 2016 (pic. related).
Now fucking California, which has a Democratic Governor and Democratic super-majority in its State Assembly, has scrapped their universal health care bill.

There are a lot of problems in healthcare but Congress is captured preventing real changes.
For example They could have exempted Asthma inhalers from the clean air act but they didnt. Inhalers used to use CFC's. Instead of $40 for an inhaler its $200 a month because the companies got to repatent the delivery mechanism.
