It's funny because it's clever. And the author drew very simple yet funny expressions. Didn't /pol/ design a fuckton of LotR meme?
The guy in this comic must not be in sync with Illuvatar's song.
Clearly he is a servant of Melkor.
Tolkein was insanely redpilled and LoTR is the Dune of fantasy. Applying modern petty-politics onto it only makes the author appear moronic regardless of their message. It's like taking an extremely well made piece of political poetry lampooning a delicate issue of the time and turning it into a Horsey cartoon.

I've been reading his comics for a while and Captain Metaphisics is my favorite joke. As it turns out, most philosophy problems can be solved by punching. It's a funny comic.
The author is a dirty fucking communist though, so don't buy his capitalist merchandise to teach him a lesson about hypocracy.

Chill, it was one comic page. I agree with you: LotR is perfect as it is and Tolkien had a reason for every choice he made story-wise. Nothing was left to chance or lack of skill. LotR is the synthesis of European values, mythology, literature and faith.
