When / why did we stop caring about how things look in favor of economical favours?
Architecture.. Ships.. Cars.. Clothes..

modern boats are way safer and better looking than these coal burning hunks of steel
same with new cars v old cars
pretty much same with architecture apart from some instances where you truly can't see what the fuck the architect was thinking
Depriving a people of beauty and erecting ugly monuments demoralizes a people and makes them lose faith in their identity and have no hope for the future. It is a weapon of war, and it is brought to you by people who want you destroyed.

you are a moron. architecture is better looking now? ok boyo.
cars, subjectively were much more better looking in the late 60s and early 70s, muscle car era. so good looking, the were retro's this past decade.
like i said, you are a fucking moron

Beauty died in 1914.

Why?

We live in a Jewish trash culture.

>Ships.. Cars
aerodynamics designed for speed and efficiency took over
>>131940985
At least in ship design, the ships these days barring a few extreme examples are much safer then old ships.

Ships today are in fact less hydrodynamic. They are built for amount of cargo instead of speed.

The world backed up the wrong futurists.

High end design on ocean going vessels is a toy of the rich. There's plenty about if you are a billionaire.
Corporate design is usually based around efficiency and cost because the the average person with disposable income would have rather have functional cruise ships than beautiful ones they can't go on.

>implying that concrete block looks better than this

Look around you right now & pay attention to what's happening in Europe. Your question promotes individualism. The destruction of beautiful buildings in the 60's, in favor of the glass walled structures represents the collective. Function over form.
Well at least you guys seem to agree with me that design and style has gotten worse. Kind of makes me happy, because most people I know despise the old ways and styles.

>you are a fucking moron because your opinion is different than mine
M8 you need to chill. Stop lashing out at others and get your anger under control. (Im not the guy you responded to).
Its another thread where pol blames everything on Jews and invents retarded conspiracies.
Why dont you actually research the origin and evolution of modern architecture throughout the 20th and 21st century. You cherry pick a few bland examples of some neo modern or bauhaus/brutalist structures while being completely oblivious of beautiful counter examples such as the Sydney Opera house.
There are literally hundreds of thousands of large buildings out there of all shapes and sizes, in lots of different architectural styles that you could look at. Architecture changes. New styles with different goals emerge. Thats life. Just because you love gothic cathedrals doesnt mean we're gonna be making em forever.

Its been a sad transfornation ever since the scourge of Modernism came to architecture in the post war period. Money uber alles.
