He wants wrote a short passage in a book about Americans in WW2. A German is talking about an American shot down pilot being fished out of the water at the German North sea. The German explains to fellow Germans that for "the American" war is just another job. Everything is a job for Americans.

I read the book with this scene when I was 13. This scene stuck with me for more than 15 years. It still shapes my view of Americans.
