The guy is a ridiculously bias. Ever since his modern art video I realized that he doesn't know what he's on about. He made a point about the toilet being considered art but failed to mention the backstory behind it and how it ended up being there because the gallery said anything that was submitted would be considered art, so some guy sent in a toilet. He was literally a shit poster and PJW doesn't get the irony.

He's either willfully ignorant or malicious in how he presents his case, or both. Either way, dropped.

The point is that classical architecture was never made for mass scale housing, it was reserved for aristocrats and the city bourgeoisie - the wast majority of people never set foot in these houses, they literary lived in small huts in the coutnry side.
With the demise of feudalism capitalist economy brought about the industrial revolution. With that in place the demand for low-skilled labor brought an influx of peasants into cities, these peasants who became workers in these manufactures were not living in grandiose buildings from postcards, they lived in overcrowded spaces that were dirty and dangerous.

Classical housing could not cope with the influx of people that were coming to work in the cities. Classical housing was expensive, slow, complicated, and nonfunctional in most cases the walls were to thick and the rooms were little.
Modernists tried to provide cheap, affordable, spacey, clean houses for the masses of people that were coming into cities, they literary tried to design buildings in a way so that they can be as functional as possible.

It's not "cultural-marxism" it's capitalism that modernized architecture, and PJW is a historically illiterate moron - better stick selling those viagra pills.

I'm not saying it's art, of course it wasn't. It was a shit post, which PJW failed to mention. The guy sending it knew it wasn't art, the gallery accepting it knew it wasn't art, and here's Paul ranting about it being modern art. Again, the passage of time obscures these details, but a minuscule amount of research would have told me that, and he's not stupid, so he just overlooked this deliberately to pedal the narrative he wanted.
