Also a large portion of California will split off into the State of Jefferson.

California and Texas may be pictured as two states that are totally different from one another. But someone living in the mountains of north-eastern California or the Texas panhandle probably have far more in common with each other than they do with someone from San Francisco or Austin. Honestly it's hard to say what a region would do unless you're from there. For example, southern missouri wants nothing to do with northern missouri. They are closer to Arkansas from about Cape Girardeau down. I don't expect most people to know that. In fact, people in Norther Missouri probably know less about Southern Missouri than they do about Iowa or Chicago.
