It'd be review bombed into hell by left-leaning game reviewers, which are all of them.

The game is only critically acclaimed because it came out before these things were relevant. Reviewers passed off the story as "stupid silly conspiracy theories" and focused more on the gameplay.

Little did they know, most of what this game talked about became notable 15~ years later. There's still more to come, since the game takes place in 2052.

Not even ~15 years, the game was released on 2000, there wasn't any twin towers in the background because they were destroyed in a terrorist attack.

it also predicted how the news and media has been terrorism 24/7 since 9/11. In-game, the news on TV is full of headlines about terrorism, the news bulletins, everything. That seems normal nowadays, but supposedly it wasn't a concern to most people pre-9/11.
Admittedly, I was too young when 9/11 happened to remember what news was like before it or what people worried about, but it makes sense.

I have a personal theory that it waned because the immigration debate forced the left's hand; you can't simultaneously decry sweatshops for exploiting the world poor and exalt sub-minimum wage labor for illegal immigrants as preferable to what was available at home. Also the representatives of gutterpunk anti-capitalism were pretty uninspiring and politically useless; Adbusters isn't rousing any tankies or helping any serious policy/campaign efforts.

For all the talk about how feminism/multiculturalism/LGBT is an extension of Marxism I hear, left-liberals are pretty damn comfortable with capitalism. I remember my dad, a liberal English professor who opposed Bush during 9/11, being accepting of sweatshops on similar grounds and sympathizing with the bank trying to repossess a family farm in some movie whose name I forget.

There's really no undoing nowadays, rather how much damage can be mitigated.

As soon as the UN came along (and similar organizations and agendas immediately after WW2), it was over in regards to stopping it.

Unabomber tried in his own way, but no one has taken up the reigns fully. Trump will still be and is a globalist.

>For all the talk about how feminism/multiculturalism/LGBT is an extension of Marxism I hear, left-liberals are pretty damn comfortable with capitalism
Well, liberalism (or neoliberalism, or modern crony capitalism or however you want to call it) is a Hegelian synthesis between communism and capitalism, in which you eventually get the worst of both worlds.

I forgot who said it, I've seen it in an interview, some of our local geopolitical analysts or writers probably, but his point was that the west is walking the "dark footsteps of communism", the implication being that communism had both dark and light footsteps, but what capitalism is introducing is only the dark. I don't know how to translate this better.

Ironically, even the supporters of this "capitalism" will ask themselves what the fuck were they thinking when it reaches the later stages, it's barely at 80% now. China has gone furthest in privatizing the commons, so you still have all those lovely things (like the Sesame system) to introduce, before it trickles down to us. Sadly, we also get some things skipping the west completely and arriving here first.

>a liberal English professor who opposed Bush during 9/11, being accepting of sweatshops on similar grounds
As soon as it went from "BURN THE SWEATSHOPS" to "actually, it's a complex issue, let me show you these academic studies..." it was over.

Most of them are full on SJWhores today.

I played Human Revolution and while it sort of barely touched on some things the normies should know, but it dovetails into this theory that some/I have that the illuminati is basically a meme that acts as a strawman for the elites/TPTB/the (((chosen))), so the normies can have their cursory redpills but they don't really know jack shit
>e.g: the facebook "woke" types who say things like "bro its the illuminati, theyre the ones behind the private prison industry to keep weed illegal bro" or "dude brah its the illuminati who wants us in all these wars", etc.
>>
>>131855900
That sounds about right, it chucks around the names you'd see Dale Gribble use but the actual contents of the world are semi-grounded cyberpunk. It would be like if I wrote a Clancy-esque military thriller but made everyone involved a courtly monarchy with fantasy names.

>>131855758
I'd say a good bit of the modern left are people who don't get worked-up over Soviet atrocities but accept that communism never really worked out; they have a burning hatred for fascism and its ideals and a resigned "yeah sure kid" dismissiveness for communism. The "it's a complex issue" retreat for sweatshops is accepting it as the least bad possibility, recognizing concerted efforts or revolution lifting them out of poverty as lost causes. You can't save them with communism, international aid doesn't do much and backfires in some cases, Iraq BTFO'd the idea of military intervention to save people from dictators, what is left but global trade and maybe institution-building?
>>
People going "muh Illuminati" are useful to have for the globalists and nation destroyers, because it's a premise that you can't fight.

You can fight the people that go to international meetings and vote in favor for things (UN, for example) and the politicians of our countries that vote in favor of these things at home.

They don't want us to know that we can fight them.

BLM, ANTIFA and whatnot are all useful idiots for the globalists.

Yes we do, and I encourage. Right and left in the US are artificially divided and actually want the same things but don't realize it.

And the media constantly tries to waylay either side when they make headway.

If both sides got a clue and worked together shit would start getting done, fast.

Your friend has a low iq. Nothing to worry about, just don't recommend games more complex than 'Doom II' to him anymore.

Pretty funny, since it was me who declined the original Deus Ex and DE:IW when my friends recommended it them to me. I was more interested in coding back then. I have learned from my mistakes, and played all of them later.

Coding is for losers. Universal constructors replace the menial coding, and AIs and true pro-autists will handle the rest. No need for mediocre coders soon. Just look at India. It starts with that.

Had my second ever playthrough of DX earlier this year. It's so goddamn good. My first playthrough was the non-steam version, and it took probably even longer to beat, so my total playtime in Deus Ex is over 100 hours.

And after that Panhea hack people suddenly sterted to treat augs like subhumans is the stupidest shit ever. First, augs are litteraly the ones with power and money. Secondly, that was a clear malfunction of the tech and all the rage should be given to implants producers because they were unable to protect their products from the hacks. It's like if all drivers were put into concentration camps because cars do run over people.
Oh, and it never explained at what extent does the man turns intosubhuman aug - does the granny with cardio-stimelator counts? Or a disabled person who was born with no legs but thanks to implants has them?

That's just confirmation bias at work. After something happens, you'll look for a specific pattern, and begin to see things that wouldn't make sense without the later action.

For example, the WTC was bombed in 1993 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_World_Trade_Center_bombing), but it gets ignored because it didn't succeed in destroying the towers. Something like this could have been the inspiration for much of the WTC destruction media.

There is a karmic price they must pay for their evil deeds, but they erroneously believe that they can 'cheat' karma by warning of us of their evil deeds in highly cryptic ways which in turn makes us sub-consciously manifest their plans into 'reality' - this phenomenon is called 'predictive programming'. There are LITERALLY HUNDREDS of 9/11 examples of predictive programming, but BY FAR THE BEST 9/11 example of predictive programming (in my opinion, of course) is an album cover from the English rock band Supertramp that was released in 1979 (pic related). If you flip the album cover in the other direction, you can see '9/11' being spelled out (in the red square I made). On its own, this could be dismissed as a mere coincidence, but what makes this example so striking is that 9/11 is being spelled out ON THE TWIN TOWERS. Could that ALSO be a mere coincidence? NOT A CHANCE. Now, I'm not saying that Supertramp were in on prior knowledge of 9/11. I don't think that's what happened at all. What happened was that whoever designed that album cover had prior knowledge of 9/11 because that information was given to him or her via a network of secret societies that actually exists and has control over not only the entertainment industry, but also the media (both the mainstream media AND the alternative media - yes, they have infiltrated the alternative media community too), politics, banking, the military, the education system, multi-national corporations and the judicial system.

>But all "futuristic" narratives are really about the present if you really look at them.
Your statement is vague as piss, of course everything everyone will think and write and speak about is rooted in today but the beauty of the original game was that it was at it's core about issues and ideas largely unexplored by the masses of late 90s and early 2000s.

It looked and tried its best to predict the future and the issues people 10 and 20 years later would be focused on many of which came true like using the preface of terrorism to encroach on personal liberties, globalism and homogeneity pushed by a secret ruling class, the ever increasing power of the military industrial complex, memetic warfare of the information age and control of information, gov/big industry developed AIs used for illegal information gathering of the masses and many more.

What did MD and HR bring to the table? That idea that people will always be tribalistic and alienate the "Other"? That discrimination is bad? That "we are called Deus Ex so lets pay lip service to the ideas of a shadow gov and the Illuminati"? MD not only doubled down on an already puddle deep issue that was and is talked to fucking death by the collective western world but it did so in the most banal, obvious and hamfisted way possible. There are plausible future scenarios we know right now that we didn't back then (we know the how just not the when) that would make for an amazing new Deus Ex game, but that requires boldness, vision and willingness something the current AAA industry sorely lacks.

Those related to #pizzagate & #pedogate supplying children & $$:Anita Walker, LPC & Debi Franklin Edmond, OK - Jon Burley & Nanci Morris NJ.
If you search for Anita Walker, LPC you see she does a "lot of work with children"... indeed, along with Life.Church in Edmond, OK... oh they just loooooove foster kids, working with them, supplying them to DC.

The cia uses the Earth's magnetosphere for simple communications technology. I've sloppily reverse engineered it, and gave it to the
russians, after the cia/nsa fucked with me. ;^) - It's kind of neat, simple, but a bit... eh... due to the limitations of what it can do. That's the cia though, a bit... ehhh... when you have to be around the scum.
The cia also uses Edmond, OK. for cia filtering and training. They filter them with death setups, you die? You fail kind of thing.

They only way to save the United States from a complete takeover by these orgs, and the rest of the deepstate, is by bombing/destroying the cia HQ in McLean, VA, the NSA HQ, the other CIA office on OH. and the other NSA office in Utah.
Once these structures are turned into lava, and all employees killed (They should be considered KoS.), then you can work to fix America. Any other actions beyond these which may seem extreme, will net nothing.

hating on democracy is not redpill. its the ability to not understand statistics and math. democracy in its core (voting) is a beautiful concept. Its the same as socialist complaining about free-market. free-market is also a genius idea and if you hate on those ideas without having anything better (you wont have), then you should stop. Go study the theory behind these ideas to really understand their beauty (assuming your high IQ enough)

After trump won the election, they had to make sure Europe will now carry on the plans. This is visible in the glorification of Macron an Ex Rothchild banker is now president of France and is immediately using all of his power to push for EU unification along the Berlin-Paris axis, Merkel loves it and judging by the looks of his wife would definitely not mind humping mutti <erkel

that is ancient people, they didn't know the thing we know today at that time. If you actually live in a working democracy and is sitting in your a nice apartment/house with high internet speed and never go hungry. then you should stop being so spoiled and complain about democracy (because its not as nice as your fantasy utopia). also the classic "what is a better system that has empirically worked?"

It's common sense.
Globalization is going to happen and, to a large extent, already has.
The question is who leads that unifying connection. Right now it's elitist and that is a no go for the rest of us.
If it became a world wide republic built to fix the errors in the US and allow basic indisputable rights to the general populace, it'll probably be accepted.
The main issue is trust busting elitist so they don't centralize too much power.
America didn't want Clintons back in the white house, Imagine if they were leading the world.
