Millennial here. Public school system nowadays seems to be doubling down on creating that echo chamber, though I imagine it was always like this to some extent. New teachers invariably are washouts from uni who are "hip" enough to get their message across to teens/kids and young enough to have the energy to do that for days on end. It's not about how qualified they are to teach, just how effectively they can continue the spread of propaganda.
