I realized there's a spin on everything and people who argue by using insults are usually wrong and didn't really think whatever through before their smug sense of superiority forces them to argue on the internet.
I genuinely can't remember if there was ever a time I held liberal beliefs. I'm pretty sure /pol/ has caused me to develop Stockholm Syndrome.
