As we all know, China is becoming more and more important on the world stage and is getting ready to flex its' muscles in order to prove this position.
So far, however, we have not seen China actually commit their military to any active conflict zone - i.e. they have not thrown their backing behind some proxy like the US and Russia have been doing for decades now.
With this in mind, where and when do you think China will commit their military? So far they have just given assistance to Syria with some medical training, if they were to actually commit their military to Syria then that would definitely make things much more interesting.

And you never will. PLA is a deterrence meant to be never used. The Chinese air force general laid it out in a lecture to academy graduates couple of years ago.
