No we don't. Life in my country is objectively worse than it was 20-30 years ago.

Most people in my generation will never own a home, and many of us will not reproduce. We work much longer hours, in much harder jobs, for much less reward.

Our parents worked 35 hours a week and had 4-5 weeks holidays a year and long term jobs, plus free education, health care and retirement pensions (and an official retirement age 5 years younger - despite having a longer life expectancy).

Maybe everything is great in the U.K., but it's fucked here and getting worse.

...No WW3. Just a steadily erosion of our quality of life as we become Hong Kong 2.0.
