Been using it weekly for a year after work. It makes a lovely (if not a tad bitter and earthy) tea. Add some black tea to it and its highly potable. Besides nausea at high doses, its extremely pleasant and relaxing. I have not noticed any physical symptoms of multiweek breaks btw. I'd try it, not for everyone but beats alcohol any day in my book

I tried it a few times and didn't like it very much. Then again, I don't like the feeling of opiates.

Extracts sorta work as an opioid replacement, but the first 2-3 days of coming off H or methadone are still going to be bad. Kratom does lower tolerance though, through a weird competetive agonist abd antagonist based system. You don't want one of those genetically engineered recreational strains if you are going to use it to replace opioids though.

Still pretty expensive, but it's good for effectively kicking opioids in a non traumatic way over the period of a few months.

The dosage depends on the strain. If you are actually depressed, you might want to try a few different opioid like drugs. Kratom may or may not work for you, and I would recommend a well leveled(not sedating or stimulating) strain.

Tianeptine might actually be a better option, it would be almost certainly cheaper at about 75 cents a day. It has opioid activity and has a noticeable but not addictive anti depressant effect. Don't take more than 100mg a day and you won't have any addiction problems. There's also a seamless transition from opioids, whereas kratom takes a few days to adjust too. It's worth ordering a 10$, 20 day supply off for sure.

Kratom isn't all that predictable, and it requires some shopping to find a good supplier and strain. A tea is technically an extract, btw.

The extracts are sometimes spiked with actual opioids to make them a hell of a lot more addictive.

Yeah it is a mu-opioid antagonist. It is pretty weak if you are already a heavy user. Also for a very small minority of people it CAN cause liver problems. Still though this is only for a very small minority. For everyone else it is pretty damn safe. It is addicting, especially if you have never touched opioids before.

Kratom is pretty legit for those who used to use opiates, it can stop withdrawal from the first dose. It has unique pharmacology and is much less habit forming as well. I get my kratom and other psychoactive herbs from a place called Meridian Botanicals, decent prices, great product, and a huge selection of other novel psychoactives.

For kratom, you want to use red strains for pain relief, these are the most opioid like. For more energy, whites are ideal. Greens are in the middle, good for pain relief, mood, and sometimes energy. I wouldn't really use the herb longer than a few weeks daily though, it does feel like it slows down cognition a tad. It is somewhat like the chill version of coffee, a plant which kratom is related to.

Started taking this stuff recently. Its a mild high that is great for just about anything. The high doesn't interfere with work, driving etc. Makes you forget about pain. Makes you sleep good, and different strains for different effects.

Kratom is an sort of predoctable mix of agonists(the main being the above), partial agonists(like suboxone) and antagonists(like nalaxone).

The weird thing is thathydroxymytrigine don't greatly interfere with 5-hydroxymytrigine and thus don't let your tolerance get past a certain point. The latter two also keep you stimulated.

If you take kratom while using on Modafinil/Provigil etc you will have a high risk of getting seizures. Be careful when dosing multiple drugs just because its a plant doesn't mean its as safe as weed.
I take moda and while I like kratom I prefer moda.

All the strains are pretty much the same, there is a slight difference between green, white, red, and yellow kratom.

White is more energetic, red is more opiate like.

I bought a bunch of it; the best is Thai white vein or Maeng Da. But I can't use it often. I don't like that I still feel it the day after. It's an okay feeling. I used to primarily use it for soreness after working out. Works great for that!

I ODed on this shit accidentally and wound up in the hospital after my significant other realized I was acting really weird. I have no memory of like an entire week. Apparently all I would talk about to the doctors was Pokemon. They didn't find any drugs in my system because there's no test for kratom, and I almost got put on a psych hold. Fortunately they just let me go home.
