gay acceptance turned into homosexuality being forced into modern culture. people say they're gay nowadays because they see it all the time and think that it makes them different and unique. particularly teenagers do it because they're young and naive, and don't realize they only think they're gay cause hormones are magic.
it hurts the core movement in the end because it treats gay as a fashion statement and not just a difference people have from birth, which is what it started as and should end as. IMO you should only make assessments about your sexuality when you're an adult. i don't trust any 12-16 year old who says they're gay.
