Honestly depends on the brand. Hornady loads their stuff like that. Underwood actually has a 300 grain load at 1580 fps for 1663 ft. lbs. There's a couple of companies that load down around 1200 fps which gives you right at 1000 ft lbs of energy. Basically .44 Magnum Territory.
