Spartan culture was progressive:
>Fucking little boys and homo relationships.
>Butch women with equal rights.
>Shave womens head and dress them like a men on wedding night so the man could get aroused.
>Discard newborn babies if they were weak.
>Communal raising of children, Communal living.
Homosexuality, Transgenderism, Abortion, Feminism, Communes. Why are you against these things /pol/? Sparta was a great society. You have been brainwashed by social constructs and "conservatism"... Embrace your European roots!

>Fucking little boys and homo relationships.
This piece of "history" about Sparta is oft incredibly overstated, and considering they mocked the Athenians regularly as "Boy lovers", I doubt they'd be as quick to engage such behaviour.
>>Butch women with equal rights.
Misinterpretation. All members of society being equal in the eyes of the law is not the same as "equal rights" in the modern liberal sense of the phrase.
>>Shave womens head and dress them like a
men on wedding night so the man could get
aroused.
Proof?
>>Discard newborn babies if they were weak.
Discarded newborns unfit for military and social duty is not the same as aborting a child you simply don't want.
>>Communal raising of children, Communal living.
The communal "raising" of children is more akin to public school and national service than it is to the hippie communes of the 60s.
Here's your (((you))), now fuck off.

Sparta got BTFO'd by (successively) other Greeks, Makedon, Arche Seleukia, other Greeks (again), Makedon (again), and Rome. Then they rebelled alongside Athens and got BTFO (AGAIN) by Rome.
This is the result of archaic Gommunism.
