Yeah, it's a bit silly. I think they purposefully use that term to try to make you sound weak and fearful. There should be an equivalent for "Racist" to disliking gay or trans-gendered people. Especially considering I'm sure there is such a thing as actual legitimate homophobia and transphobia, since the world is full of mentally ill people.

I don't even use the word "sex" anymore to spite their abuses. (Sex used to exclusively refer to gender, and not to the marital act.)
