There really isnt, natsoc just describes it better. The nazis were preoccupied with german race because that was what they chose to center their group identity around. There are plenty of quotes from nazis explaining this and showing they are not 'racist' in the modern use of the term. Natsoc realizes that you need something to center the group identity on. You can pick any number of things, europe has a history of ethonationalism so it was an apropriate fit for them there, but you could pick the more traditional 'civic nationalism' that rome was built on, or something entierly arbitrary. What is important is that that thing becomes the primary self identifier for the group and the people within the group.

Natsoc depends on group identity because it fundamentally shifts people away from selfish materialistic views that both capitalism and communism base themselves on (different ways of dealing with the same 'stuff'). It is able to bypass a lot of the specifics because it foremost instills a belief to force the ideology to work, which means everyone becomes amenable to everyone else and everyone finds a place in society and is secure in it.

In truth capitalism or communism (or any system for that matter) can also work if everyone involved is fervently believing in it and willing to do whatever it takes to make the system work - in effect this would be a fascism of that ideology, the problem is that both ideologies will condition people to think in terms of materialism and wealth and see it everything and judge everything based on how it is distributed, this will poison peoples relationships and inevitably break the system down.
