Local texts say the Sikhs gave rise in opposition of Muslim expansionism eastward towards India. My question is are they better or worse? I don't want to quickly assume the enemy of my enemy is a friend.

They easily integrate into western societies, so bad. Muslims don't integrate which causes conflict and destabilization generating support for radical right wing movements where none would have existed without this culture clash.
So Sikhs are just prolong the neo liberal world order of Starbucks, McDonald's, gay marriage, and democracy (oligarchy), while Islamic invasion provides the impetus for collective European evolution preparing our people for our intergalactic civilizational phase.
