Why does everyone talk about religious people as if we are incapable of grasping the concept of evolution? Has it not occurred to you that these two things aren't mutually exclusive?
For example, I'm Catholic and I believe fully in the theory of evolution. Is it not unreasonable to think that God created the universe with the big bang and that evolution is the product of ingenious planning by a higher being? Being a religious person doesn't mean that we deny all forms of scientific discovery, it just means that we look at things in a slightly different manner. We aren't your stereotypical 1920's fundamentalists that you think we are.
CHECK M8 ATHEISTS, jk :D

I am also Christian and fully accept the theory of evolution.
The problem is a lot of the people who share our views are really kinda below average iq types who don't really have a sophisticated idea of the philosophy of theism.
They aren't really super intelligent honestly. (Same goes for common atheists to be fair.)
I think it actually takes a lot of hard mental work and intellectual humility to come to grips with the idea that there is good reason to believe in God from a secular and rational perspective.
The average person either doesn't have the interest or intellectual horsepower to try to understand God in that way.

That guy is a troll and posts that as bait.
That thread is on here all the time.

Same. It's really the autism of believing the stereotype of the science-denying preacher as the whole of Christianity, combined with silly name-calling.
Nobody gives a single shit. The only ones who talk about it is libfags who hate you from the onset. Even they don't care how the hell you interpret Genesis.
Sling around some Thomas Aquinas or some shit, talk about what Christianity is good at and that is quite a bit because it worked fucking fantastic. Don't let people who hate you set your agenda.
