Just saw a thread of this no one responded, but its kinda crazy
http://money.cnn.com/2017/06/27/technology/business/google-eu-antitrust-fine/index.html
Google is a search engine, are there no other search engines in the EU? Google is a private company? A website is like a store, on a city block. They have things for sale. People entered the Google store, and were given a list of things they were selling. One cannot see a list of thousands of items at once. Why would a store not advertise their brand on the top of the list?
The claim is they may have made it difficult to see competitors products (maybe this is something if the competitors paid google to advertise their products) is something maybe if they had programs that prevented a company from appearing at all? maybe that is the situation, Google promised to portray accurate information, as a directory?
Now you know why Google and Amazon are so completely anti Trump. They've been getting away with antitrust for a long time
this is probably more /g/ than /pol/, but yeah i dont really get why it was illegal
