The hierarchy for what its worth has been trying to weed them out, at least in my diocese. A good chunk of my psych test during the application process was about being gay or having gay inclinations.

I think the priesthood is just a natural avenue for a religious gay guy, because the Church demands they stay chaste for life anyway. I also think it takes usually a pretty weird person to become a priest so a lot of fags just end up doing it. No disrespect to priests and all, just a lot are kinda weird

They were all either foreigners in there for the green cards, or yes very effeminate and liberal. A lot of the straights were traditionalists but not all of them. I know some gay priests that are traditionalists though
