in what way are individuals responsible for the 2007 to 2008 financial crisis? Is there any personal responsibility lesson or blame here or is it true it was all the greedy banks?
Every socialist just wants to automatically tell me it's all the banks' fault and that that's proof we need socialism.

It is the banks. The whole financial system is set up this way, so there are recessions once in a while and sometimes big ones.
But it's still better than socialism, you just have to educate yourself and learn to adapt.
Occasional financial 'failure' is inherent part of capitalism, a fast conversion pathway of public wealth into private wealth by racketeering the goverment

Individuals do have fault. Some people will not live within their own means. They over consume. Just because a bank will loan you money does not mean you will be able to afford whatever you need the money for. Most people don’t realize that your bills should not exceed 1 to 1.5 weeks of a months pay.
The system is backwards. 70 yrs ago a man that paid cash for everything he needed was worth more than someone who constantly borrows money. Yet now those who do not keep open lines of credit are penalised by the system, and cannot get access to loans when desired.
