I don't get that. I pick up on it years later after society consistantly attempts to spell it out for me.
I'm better at not making an ass of myself now, but it's just resulted in me being a boring person without even the quirk of being that weird guy that the other weird people want to talk to. Trying not to be weird doesn't make me normal, it just makes that guy who doesn't know the right thing to do so I do nothing
So i imagine a good chunk of autists don't pick up on it while a good chunk of the ones that do have no reason to try and fix it.
