What he got on the producer is good stuff, and will get that producer fired. But it's not good enough to tarnish CNN as a whole, when their core audience is liberal and already believes the Russia story. He gave them an out in the video; the producer says he thinks Russia is all hype because "if there was something to it, it would have leaked by now".

But the producer isn't the one doing the investigation, and that's just his opinion. That's their out, and with it they can ignore this.

O'Keefe doesn't have a good track record even to conservatives. Only a fringe support him outright.

You get one or two weeks of punches if Fox pushes this to hurt CNN, but it won't change things.

The real story in the clips is that the producer openly admits they have a million person strong audience and that it's nothing. They desperately need viewers, and that's why they return to the Russia shit again and again - it's clickbait in cable news form. Their audience sways liberal, and he admits they know this too. He states they're hitting Trump hard and would never go after Obama that way.. but these are things politically interested people already know.

If you're desperate for this video to have any meaning, take solace in what the producer is telling you. They're starving for an audience and they're shilling what they can to get eyeballs. That's it. They abandoned ethics and agendas, it's all based on their audience.
If they could get half of Fox News' audience by switching rightward they would.
