/pol/ please help me out here, I am really scratching my head over this one.

Why are we in 2017, fighting each other based on our religious beliefs? Religion has been proved false beyond all doubt, yet more blood is spilled in the name of god/allah than anything else on the planet.

Why do people refuse to be enlightened and leave the bullshit that is religion behind and instead work together as a common force to bring the human race forward?

There are so many more notable causes than religion. Yet religion remains humanitys biggest hold back on progress, and is widely accepted as such in almost all countries and cultures around the world. It's literally become an excuse for anything retarded.

Why, just fucking why?
