John Paul II is one of the most beloved people amongst Poles, and back in the time no one would even think about insulting him. That was long time ago. Nowadays, every middle schooler and high schooler knows about these memes and laughs at them. They have become mainstream thanks to Facebook groups that steal memes from the imageboards. Most of people have no idea about origins of these memes. It's seen as a normalfag meme now, because it's liked by normies that it was supposed to make angry.
